Windows 10: Windows 10 update fail: 0x80070020 - 0x2000A ... SAFE_OS phase ... PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT operation

Update popups been showing non stop for 8 months so until yesterday I decided to update, however, I was never successful. I tried to update from settings and got this error " 0x80070020 - 0x2000A" then downloaded Windows 10 Update Assistant from microsoft website and then it downloaded update 1903. But when my PC reboots and start installing, it freezes around 30% and automatically restart. I get that error notifying me that all changes are being canceled. Any help please?

Error 0x80070020 - 0x2000A when attempting to update windows.

Windows 10 update problem. Error 0x80070020 - 0x2000A.

I've tried everything as possible to an amateur in PC can do.

"Windows 10 install fail 0x80070020 - 0x2000A at the SAFE_OS phase ... PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT operation"
This is the message that shows up when I try to update by mediatool creation.

What can I do?

Please help.

Repeated tries to install Windows 10 on my Venue 11 Pro failed with the following message

0x8007045D - 0x2000A

The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT operation.

I couldn't find these exact error codes on Microsoft sites.

I tried all Microsoft suggestions for similar error codes (which are a little bit generic, to say the truth) to no avail.

Has anyone experienced the same problem and maybe found a solution?

I have tried multiple times to install Windows 10 over an existing windows 8.1 computer. Each time I try to install it I get this error

0x80070020 - 0x2000A The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT operation.

ISO downloaded from Windows 10 Manual Upgrade & Installation

I have tried installing from a DVD image of the ISO downloaded via UltraISO, tried via a USB stick via using rufus to install on the USB and also tried by installing from a directory on the actual computer, they all get the same result.

I even tried to download it again to make sure I did not have a corrupt ISO.

All USB items are unplugged except for mouse and keyboard, but still the same error.

Do you have any idea why this would happen and maybe point me to the right answer/fix please.

I have been told by another than I should backup my files, do a fresh Windows 8.1 install and then do the Windows 10 update, but I'd rather not have to go down that path, surely it should not be this difficult, surely Microsoft does not see that as the solution.

Trying to install it onto the SSD where the Win 8.1 is installed
