Windows 10: Windows 10 update failed over and over most recent error code following reset 0xc00000fd

Running windows 10 on SurfaceBook.......all updates following 1803 have failed.


I have tried everything......update assistant, virtual assistant, download, change the advanced option settings, deleted update files, tried scan now.....


Please help me!

Windows Update 1809 Fails - Error 0xc00000fd

(I still can't get SystemInfo to fill in the fields for TenForums).

chkdsk log is attached (I don't have Onedrive etc).

Non-Microsoft antivirus software: AVG.

Non-Microsoft firewall software: none.

Non-Microsoft drive encryption software: none.

Motherboard: Search Results - GIGABYTE U.S.A. (the version hasn't been filled in by the manufacturer which isn't helpful but it's one of these).

 

Windows Update 1809 Fails - Error 0xc00000fd

* RAM was upgraded a year or two back. I used to Crucial System Scanner and got memory from them.

The system had 4GB - I added another 4GB.

How are they mismatched? Would be interesting to know.

* Malwarebytes uninstalled.

* Backup done.

* System Restore done.

* Re/ those two network cards that are disabled - this is deliberate. These are used as a backup if need be.

* There should be no overclocking.
