Windows 10: Windows 10 Update fails with 0xC19000101 0x30017 error

I have had the problem for a while now, with Windows 10 Home on my desktop PC refusing to update to newer versions either via Windows Update or the ISO


Version 1703, Build 15063.1418


After one of the installation reboots it will get to 30% installing and stop, reboot, restore previous version and throw me back the error:


0xC19000101 0x30017 error

The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during BOOT operation


Having checked out some threads on this before I have tried it with most peripherals disconnected (except keyboard, mouse, monitors), don't have AV other than Windows Defender, not really sure what to do next.


Last thing I checked suggested there may be a clue to a driver that's not up to date which is failing the install (quite why this is an issue for a modern operating system... I have no idea. I thought we were supposed to have eliminated this nonsense) but I can make neither head nor tail of what this might be. The setuperr.log from C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther is below, I possibly need to offer more, but not sure what else might be needed.

Windows 10 upgrade: Error Message 0xC19000101 - 0x4000D

I tried to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 overnight last night but this morning saw the error message

"0xC19000101 - 0x4000D The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during the MIGRATE_DATA operation".

Can anyone help me understand and resolve this?

I've pasted the results of all three drives into the same text file. Drives F,E & C(OS) in that order.

I guess I'm ready with the backups too. I have a backup from a week or so back and that should be enough if need be. I've also familiarized myself with the Driver Verifier procedure. So, that will be the next step, right?

edit: I've since made a find. Yesterday, I made the mistake of not searching whole of C: for the drivers. I only looked in the Windows folder. The LUMDriver happens to belong to one of the softwares I've installed: CATIA. Maybe uninstalling it should take care of that, hopefully.
@zbook - would it be OK for me to run the driver verfier now or should I first try uninstalling CATIA?
