Windows 10 update fixes Bluetooth, but breaks Printer for some users

Microsoft has had a bad run with Windows 10 version 1903 in the past two months. The recent security and non-security updates broke down a number of basic features, including network adapters, Windows Search and even caused high CPU usage on some configurations.

Windows 10 KB4515384 shipped on September 10 and it comes with several improvements, including a fix for the Bluetooth connectivity and quality issues. Microsoft has quietly updated its original documentation to clarify that a Bluetooth bug which was causing the following problems has been fixed:

    • Devices with the built-in speaker may fail to connect to Bluetooth speakers.
    • Devices with the built-in speaker will produce noisy (bad quality) audio when a Bluetooth speaker is paired.
    • Sound is generated by the internal speaker instead of the connected Bluetooth device.
Printer failures after second September update

The second September non-security patch KB4517211, which was released on September 26, has fixed Windows 10 version 1903 audio issues but has broken Printers, according to users.

On Microsoft community forum and Feedback Hub, some users are reporting problems with printers after applying Windows 10’s September 26 update on Microsoft community. Oddly enough, some users have also documented the printer issue on the Google support forum.

“After installing kb4517211 the print spooler kept crashing. Uninstalling the update and rebooting resolved the issue. Reinstalled to test and print spooler crashes resumed. In addition, the Start button would not work and reported a critical error. Uninstalling the update again fixed the problem. This is on Win 10 1903 RTM,” a user said on Feedback Hub.

A few users are also reporting (1, 2) installation issues with Windows 10 KB4517211. The update reportedly fails to install on some configurations, but it doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue.

    Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

    "Hi All,
We stronly advise Comodo users not to update to latest MS update KB4022716, which is available for Windows 10 users till they have new fixed version of Comodo internet security products installed.

    Affected Products:
    - Comodo Internet Security / Comodo Antivirus / Comodo Firewall (Affected versions: v6246 and below)
    - Comodo Cloud Antivirus (Affected versions: v533 and below)
    - Internet Security Essentials (Affected versions: v81 and below)
    - Comodo Secure Shopping (Affected versions: v97 and below)

    Possible Problems:
In case you have updated to MS update KB4022716 prior to updating to latest fixed version of Comodo products, following issues may appear:

    - Crashing browsers
    - May not be able to login to Windows

    Resolution:
If you are able to login, you can uninstall Comodo and re-install latest fixed Comodo version. Else you need to go to Windows Safe Mode and uninstall Comodo product or re-store system to state before Comodo product was installed.

In case you want to keep Comodo and pause Windows updates for some time, you may use following steps:
Step - 1: Click on Start icon on Windows
Step - 2: Next click on Settings menu item, it will open "Windows Settings" window
Step - 3: Select "Update & Security" section from there and it will show "Windows Update" section
Step - 4: Click on "Advanced Options" next, there is "Pause Updates" section allowing you to pause Windows updates for next several days

You can find same steps with images here .

    Reason:
There are unexpected changes in last MS update KB4022716, which are incompatible with Comodo products.
