    Windows 10 update from 1703 to 1909


    I recently reset my PC and reinstalled Windows 10. I tried updating it from version 1703 to 1909 using update assistant but it did not work. I then tried using media creation tool to do the same and got the error :0xC1900101 - 0x20017.

    Are there any other ways of tackling this issue?

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    Microsoft Decreasing Windows 10 Updates Downtime in Fall Creators Update

    *Sigh*
    Windows 10 1607/1703, Office 2016, browser of choice with "remember tabs" feature.
    If rebooted due to updates, Windows WILL "try" to bring it all back up just like you left it. Yes, it's a feature that exists.
