Windows 10: Windows 10 update from 1903 to 2004

can someone help me with this update. it has shown on my computer that i can update to this version of Windows 10. My issue is it wants to wipe my whole hard drive which i am not prepared to do as it is annoying to re install each and every software and programs that I have already installed. Is there a way not to allow Windows Install to wipe clean my whole drive and just install it to the current state? Thanks in advance

Additionally, there has also been a change in how Microsoft handles attempted forced installs of the ISO on a system that has a block.

I was able to force install it in early June, and I tested it for a couple days before rolling back to 1909.

It will now stop the install, tell you your PC is not ready, and gracefully exit the installer.

So that's a "tell".
