Windows 10: Windows 10 update has stopped my laptop from loading ICC color profiles.

And when I manually load the profile at any time it will shut it off. I now have to reload several times in a session. Is someone here from Microsoft listening to these questions and can chime in as to what is happening or if it will be corrected?


Note: These updates, over the last 6 months, have messed up my desktop and that took 6 weeks till it was corrected. Have stopped ANY wireless mouse from correctly working (Not resolved to this point). Now this.

Microsoft needs a better plan.

Unable to load custom ICC color profile in Windows 10

My monitor requires a custom ICC color profile to display correctly. Under Windows 8.1, I was able to load this using the Color Management utility. After upgrading to Windows 10, the utility appears the same, however, I'm unable to load the profile.

The process I've been using is:

• open Color Management
• Under the "Advanced" tab, click "Change system defaults"
• Under the "Devices" tab, click "Add..."
• Click "Browse..." in the popup window and locate the custom profile file and click "add"

Then nothing happens. Under Windows 8.1, the custom profile would appear under the list of "Profiles associated with this device", but not in Windows 10.

Any fixes for this?

 

After Windows 10 1607 - ICC Profiles Load But Not Applied

Windows 10 x64

Display Driver: Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Version 20.19.15.4404 - Latest available for this OEM Computer)

Before the 1607 update, ICC color management profiles for my wide gamut monitor would load and function properly.

After the 1607 update, the profiles can be loaded and associated, but there is no effect at all on screen colors.

[Note: Please don't suggest basic things like third-party apps, BIOS settings, etc. The machine is clean and I am doing everything by the book. Profiles in ICC v2 and V4 have been loaded with no effect.]

Since you've recently installed the Windows 10 Creators update, you may need to look into the color management of your computer to apply the ICC profiles. You may follow the steps shared by
Neeeeks on this link.

Let us know if the problem persist so we can further check on it.
