Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Issues

Hello!

I am having a very irritating and very unusual issue that I cannot figure out for the life of me. Windows 10 claims there is an update available, yet when I got to restart it (or rather am FORCED to restart, often in the middle of something very important! *Mad), it does not actually install and then I boot back up and it asks me to restart again. This becomes a vicious cycle of me having to restart and "install" and update. Since I cannot stop Windows from forcing me to restart for no reason, I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as to what the problem may be. Thanks in advance for any help!

Windows 10 haven't updated to version 1511 --- How to find product key

I haven't run the ISO disk as of yet, I want the current product key in hand, on a post it note, prior to doing that, not interested in MS bullS**T about it not being needed. 2 hours online with tech support and they can't cope with the question of how
can the current product key be accessed in windows 10.

I've never owned a Apple product, but I can never see buying or having another MS product in my household after this.

Windows 10 upgrade makes my computer shut down randomly

I have the same issue. MY Windows 10 is a new OEM install. BECAUSE, last update fried my hardrive. So new SSD Drives, New OEM professional install and SINCE that install, nothing but random shutdowns. Professional diagnostic from a nationally known computer
center could not find anything. Thought it was a power cord issue. PLEASE UPDATE Windows 10. From the web searches I see Many Many people having this issue. SO, when it came time for my son to go off to college, we decided to buy him a MAC laptop.

It happened with me too. What you have to do is:

Go to c:\windows and search for the folder "SoftwareDistribution" click twice to enter the folder, then delete all the files inside. There are some of the files that you can't delete, so don't worry. CAUTION: DON'T DELETE the folder "SoftwareDistribution" delete only the files inside the folder.

Restart your computer, then go to windows update and search for updates.

 

I just tried that multiple times, did not work. It still says that an update has been scheduled, and that I will need to restart... *Sad

 

For starters, run CMD as admin and enter this:

reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v "AlwaysAutoRebootAtScheduledTime" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v "NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f

If it does not help, download this bat and run it as admin, it will take about an hour to complete. Select to clean all.
