Windows 10 Update messing up my wireless mouse

I've seen this same problem posted from 3 years ago. I've had a wireless mouse almost as long as my laptop (7 years), so when it started malfunctioning even with a freshly charged battery, and after verifying the drivers are up to date, I assumed the mouse had reached the end of its mouse life. I bought a new one and experienced the same problem. This just started within the last month or so. The cursor sometimes disappears, wanders around the page a little, sometimes responds correctly. I have a wireless keyboard with a touchpad, and that works fine, as does the touchpad on my laptop.

Please advise if there's a fix, or when Microsoft will be correcting the problem. Thanks!

    :)

Wireless mouse "driver is unavailable" issues

    Hi,

The error Driver is unavailable means that there is no available driver installed for your mouse that’s why it is not working. We suggest that you check the mouse driver from the device manager. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Look for Mice and other pointing devices and click it to expand.
    • Check if there is a driver for the wireless mouse.

If there is none, we suggest that you visit the manufacturer’s website of the mouse and download then install the latest mouse driver compatible to Windows 10.

Get back to us if you need further assistance.
