Windows 10: Windows 10 update showing “x” icon on search bar ?

I recently updated my windows 10 and when I use the search bar in the bottom left hand side, the icons that come up to that corresponding search is just an x icon with a box around it

Is this a bug ? Or is anyone else having trouble with this ?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the settings to show the search icon.

  Right click on the search bar
  
• 
  Click on search
  
• 
  Check show search icon

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.

If the icon is hidden from the task bar, you can enable it by using the following steps. The icon might be hidden. Here's how to show the battery icon:

• Right-click an empty area on the taskbar, and then click
  Properties.
• Under Notification area, click
  Customize.
• In Notification Area Icons, click on Select
  which icons appear on Taskbar.
• On in the drop-down list next to
  Power, and then click OK.

If the issue still persists you can try Updating the latest Power management driver software for Windows 10 from the manufacturer website.
