Windows 10 update taking more than 24 hours

Started the update on Tuesday around 5:00 pm and it was still running the following day at 5:00 pm. Message said it was running the update 100%. I need my computer so I shut it off. When I restarted it backed the upgrade back off automatically since it wasn't finished. What's taking so long. I do use Norton so could that be causing it not to finish? I plan not to update since my computer would be useless for several days.

    :)

  2. Windows 10. 12 to 24 hours

    Hi Sandra,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To change the time format from 12 hour to 24 hour in Windows 10.

    Follow the steps:

    • Navigate to Control panel.
    • In the category view of the control panel, click on the
‘Change date, time, or number formats’.
    • Change the short time to HH:mm from the drop down.
    • Press Apply to make the changes.
    • Now your time format will change to 24 hour format.
Hope this helps, let us know if you need further assistance.

DISM is taking over 24 hours

I'm having problems installing Windows Updates so I thought that if I use DISM and then SFC, that it might fix the problem.

    When I run

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

It takes over 24 hours to complete and the progress stays at 20% for over 24 hours.

    How can this be fixed?

    My internet connection is working.
