Windows 10: WINDOWS 10 UPDATE TO 1903 FAILURE TO INSTALL

I have spent days and hours downloading the window10 1903 update (about 8 times now). All I experience is failure.

I am using the windows 10 update tool.

I have disconnected my antivirus and firewall.

I have used DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and then sfc /scannow. There are no corrupt files doing these checks.


The update tool downloads the new version, then installs it, then tells me my computer will do a restart, which is does.

When it restarts I get a message showing 0% and saying my computer will reboot a number of times.

After the first reboot it states Undoing changes made to your computer.

Then it deletes all installed update files and boots up.

I then log on and I check the system info after reboot, I find I still have Windows Version 1803.

So what is going on?

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 8 failure configuring updates and reverting

I agree 8 is awful! It's not for me though... I replaced a broken screen in a Win 8 laptop that was given to me and I am going to give it for free to someone that can't afford one so they can do homework at home. Yes I took it from 8 to 8.1 back on 10/09/2014. This is what I posted there...

1. Step 1 should read to disable AUTOMATIC updates, not disable manual updates.

2. KB2871398 should really read KB2871389

I would like to say that KB2917499 may also be needed as it was in my case. I also had to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter after installing those 2 updates. After these steps I was able to begin my 8.1 download from the Microsoft store. I don't know if it made a difference or not, but I also went into the Bios and disabled "Secure Boot."
