Windows 10: windows 10 update to phone has blocked kindle app

Since the recent Windows 10 update to my Lumia phone the kindle app I have been using for over 2 years will not open, it does not recognise my login or password. This same fault has been reported in the message boards by hundreds of people in the last few days but the post is now blocked. There have been 4 responses from Microsoft none of which have addressed or resolved the issue that hundreds of people are having. Please will Microsoft resolve this as a matter of urgency. I am sure I will be not the only person who will switch to an Apple or Samsung phone if the problem is not rectified, kindle is the app I use more than any after email.

Kindle App and Windows 10

• Is this issue confined only with kindle app?
• Are you able to read the notebooks in other apps?

qubit kills his Windows 10 with a Kindle

I read that article below on killing the Anniversary Update edition of Windows 10 and just had to try it.

Plugged my Kindle Voyage into a USB 2.0 port and nothing happened - Windows just treated it as a normal USB drive, like always. Tried a couple of times, all good. Plugged it into a USB 3.0 port and it wasn't even recognized. Windows kept going like nothing happened.

Plugged it back into a USB 2.0 port and bam! Down she goes. *Laugh :laugh:

Unplugged the Kindle, reset the PC and Windows started up fine.
