    hi my windows 10 recently upgraded itself now my amateur radio will not connect using the drivers recommended by windows and yaesu i get three fauls two in the usb ports using cp210x drivers
    USB\VID_10C4&PID_EA70&MI_00\8&362deb4f&1&0000 requires further installation.



    USB\VID_10C4&PID_EA70&MI_01\8&362deb4f&1&0001 requires further installation.



    and this one in the audio codec
    USB\VID_08BB&PID_29B3&MI_00\7&34a0f09d&0&0000 requires further installation.

    this is happening to lots of users and no fix is available

    this is saying this: Device USB\VID_046D&PID_0A03&MI_00\8&17660f6f&0&0000 requires further installation.

    how come i have this on my mic gives me this message: Device USB\VID_046D&PID_0A03&MI_00\8&17660f6f&0&0000 requires further installation.

    Device USB\VID_1BCF&PID_2C55&MI_00\6&9e1e39c&0&0000 requires further installation.

    6&9e1e39c&0&0000 refers to the systems folders and USB\VID_1BCF&PID_2C55&MI_00 refers to the two discrete files, sorry about that error.

    Installing windows off of a USB stick

    Step By Step from vista:
    From admin cmd prompt

    1. diskpart
    1a. list disk
    2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    3. clean
    4. create partition primary
    5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
    6. active
    7. format fs=fat32
    8. assign
    9. exit

    Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

    xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

    And that's it, boot off your usb disk
