Windows 10: Windows 10 updates dont work

Since I have had my computer, which has been a few years now, i have had many windows updates notifications...when it goes to update it can take up to 20 mins to go through the motions until finally restoring the previous setting and when back on the desktop reminding me of an update being needed.

Sometimes it asks me for a more convenient time and date of which it ignores and forces an update the very next day. Very rarely does an update ever go through without a hitch and when these updates come about this can happen continually for several days at a time. I am also not sure if this is causing any other problems with other programs on my pc. Is there any way someone from support can look at my computer and fix this so that updates actually work as i think there may be many updates that my pc does not have and would help it run better..

There are no update errors i can give as none appear, only that it says it is restoring previous settings at the end of a failed update....

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
