  1. Windows 10 Updates July 2019

Good grief, leave me alone. Every day for the last week, you've hijacked my computer to install an update that won't install. Every. Single. Day. I get a message that tells me you're going to restart my computer to install updates that will make everything "better." I have to wait through the restart, then get a message that says the update wouldn't install. If your updates won't install, try fixing them before continuing to inflict them on people. Most of them just wreak havoc anyway. My system is working fine ... with ONE glaring exception.

Every time I try to type online (like now), Cortana constantly pops up unbidden on the screen even though I have ALL the settings turned to OFF. I've tried every way imaginable to uninstall and turn off this unbelievable nuisance because I work on this computer and it is interfering with my ability to do my job. But no. Your malware will not go away ... much like your faulty update. Funny, but since I PAID for this computer, I feel I should be able to use the services that help ME, not services like Cortana that you just want to shove down my throat. If you have an update that will STOP this intrusive program from continually popping up on my screen as I type, then by all means, THAT update would be welcome. So would an update that maintains my cursor themes so I don't have to select them AGAIN each time I turn on my computer. Please fix your bugs. Otherwise, just leave me alone.

    :)

    Spoiler Office 2019
Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

    • Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
    • Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
      • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
      • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
      • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
    • The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.
