Windows 10: Windows 10 Updates not working & Security Centre missing

Hi,


I have had an ongoing issue with Windows 10 64-bit updates not downloading, and the Security Centre missing completely - ever since a malware infection, which was removed with McAf**


It states Win10 updates have not been checked since 03/04/2020.

Whenever I click "check for updates" nothing happens at all.

I get the same when clicking anything in the Win10 update section.


The Security Centre literally doesn't open at all or register I even have Windows Defender.


I have used my anti-virus to completely scan my PC 3 times since this happened, but nothing has been detected since.


I've tried command prompt to fix missing registry files and source data but to no avail - I have tried all fixes I have googled for Win10 update errors.


I would like to reset my Windows 10 entirely as I suspect the virus deleted alot of registry data before it was removed, which is causing my issues now, but if I do this, it's registering half my SSD as "apps" so they will be deleted.


If anyone could help with this it'd be very much appreciated.

Windows 10 Update

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

 

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.
