    Windows 10 Upgrade 0x8007023E-0x2000C Error


    Hello,


    I am trying to perform a number of upgrades using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool 1909. A number of machines have returned the following error.


    0x8007023E-0x2000C

    Unfortunately I cannot find any information regarding this error on the Microsoft website. I have completed the following trouble shooting steps.


    Update Bios

    Run CHKDSK No Errors

    Run SFC /Scannow No Error

    Used HP image assist and updated all drivers available

    Installed all available Windows 7 updates


    Currently running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit 4GB ram 1TB HD. Around 600 GB free on the HD.


    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Error received -

    Steps taken by me till now-

    However the post doesn't have any solution the error code
    0x80070006 - 0x2000c

    So it is requested that Microsoft engineers should not ask to see that page again.

    Did all the three steps required i.e.

    • Fixed Hard Disk and OS Errors
    • Disconnected non-essential devices attached to your computer
    • Disabled the anti-virus software
    Still I am not to upgrade to Windows 10

    Other facts-

    • I am eligible to receive the free upgrade (The Windows 10 icon is appearing in the notifications)
    • There no pending important updates in the 'Windows Update' section.
    • I am upgrading by using DVD in which I have burned the ISO downloaded from Windows website

    Is there a solution this error?

    WINDOWS 10 upgrade error - 0xC1900101-0x2000C

    Hi Annu,

    Thanks for the solutions provided. I have tried all the suggested methods but still cant install/upgrade to windows 10.

    I am getting the same error (0xC1900101-0x2000C failed in SAFE-OS phase with error during APPLY-IMAGE operation") after about 2% of the installation completed.

    Do you have any other solutions? please help.
