Windows 10: Windows 10 USB will only work with 32 bit not 64 bit

When i boot the computer it gives me an option for 32 bit and 64 bit, when i choose 64 bit it goes to the screen of installing files and doesn't load the windows logo and screen is just blank but it works when i choose 32 bit and goes to Windows logo. What could cause this?

Why does 32 bit Windows 10 work but not 64 bit?

My laptop used to work in 64 bit Version of Windows 10 and even 8.1. Now only 32 bit works. The 64 bit windows 10 install gets stuck at spinning dots. I have the requirements. 4GB Ram 1TB HDD and UEFI. 1.9ghz processor.

It used to work after the free upgrade a year ago, but now only 32 bit works. Also, my touchpad doesn't even show up on the devices list.

 

Netbook, 64-bit or 32-bit?

The only real test would be trying 32 bit Windows 10 and seeing if it ends up being faster in practice [a test that would take quite a bit of your limited time].

I get the impression that you are aware that
2GB RAM are required for the 64 bit version whereas a minimum of 1GB is required for the 32 bit version. So your choice is between

• getting the benefit of 64 bit processing but limited by the invalid RAM size, or
  
• foregoing the 64 bit processing benefit in order to fulfil the minimum RAM requirement.
