Windows 10 Users Give Up on Edge

My main use of Edge !!! But seriously folks, tried to check speed against other browsers and on site flagged it as Chrome !!!!!
MS is trying to be too original with it, anybody used to functions of other browsers, even IE, is going to have learning curve to use it to it's fullest. I for one am used to Menu Bar and don't care for any other bars. All I need is good and large surface to look on.

  2. Have to admit Edge does feel quite fast. But every so often I'll click the pinned edge icon on my taskbar and nothing launches. It's easily fixed by a reboot or go into task manager and kill the edge process. Then next click it opens fine. It's an intermittent issue and doesn't happen often. But it's certainly enough to put me off edge. Mozilla and IE seem rock solid.

  3. AFAIK Edge is a UI app and not a x86 .exe or no?

I love the article comment that extensions are "right around the corner." Then defining around the corner as summer of next year. We are just now getting into Winter 2015. Around the corner would be Feb. or March. Late winter/early spring maybe true for the preview builds, but nobody else. Not to mention then folks need time to code the extensions. For me Edge is useless regardless of extensions. You can't selectively turn off javascript and other features, leaving you with web pages that puke adds and multi-media on to your browser for 30 seconds before you can even view the content you are interested in. Edge, in the not near future, may gain market share, but I would not look for anything significant in the next year.

I'm liking it! Love the simplicity and the way it handles favorites.

Glad someone else has found how easy it handles favourites.
Got all mine in separate folders all under different headings, when I want one I just go to the folder and get it

I'm really liking Edge to. Even your start tabs can be dragged into any order you want on the settings section. It needs (ARE YOU LISTENING MS) to be able to have some user friendly way of saving cookie files and to be able to import them after a full browser clean-up.

  10. I can do all that in Chrome I've got plenty of favorite and bookmark folders >sub folders and two bookmark bar folders .*Cool

Just like Chrome and you can save all the Cookie files in Chrome or use CCleaner and tediously pick the ones U want to keep thanks but no it doesn't take long to rebuild a browser cache and frequently used cookies anyway !

  12. Right Edge is a very funny joke if it wasn't such an unstable time waster when you consider the state of the other
( better ) browsers out there . *Zip

    You think...

I have over forty sites in favourites to set up log in and preferences for. A cookie export/import is a must.

I use Edge from time to time (particularly when browsing this site), but for most other things, I use Firefox. I have nothing against Edge, FF is just what I'm used to and prefer.
