Windows 10: Windows 10 v1903 Quality Updates is stuck

My laptop's Windows Update is stuck at "Checking for updates....." for almost a month now. If this happens to be some sort of an intentional delay to prevent any kind of damage to my data due to unforeseen effects of an update, then I don't mind the issue so long as it will automatically correct itself and work its way through whatever necessary process on its own.





The last successful update was KB4517389 on 09Oct2019.





My device specs and Windows OS build follow to serve as background info. Thank you for whatever wisdom anyone can share.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

I recommend you to upgrade to V1903 via ISO file.
