  1. Windows 10 version 1803 - Dark Mode (error: File explorer)

    Hello every1,

I've been bashing my head looking for a software to darken my folders view.

As you may know, the dark mode for file explorer was built into a windows update that came after the 1803 version.

Now, my Win 10 is bugging hard core style and I cannot update it, not because I don't want to, but I simply can't - something is wrong and I think it has to do with the fact that my laptop is old. I'm stuck at version 1803.

Tried installing Dark Theme, followed instructions, didn't work for my files. Tried using High Contrast with Win 10, but it has terrible interface design...

Please help, I am looking for a software that will give the dark mode for my files!

    Cheers!!!

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
