Windows 10: Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C not installing

    Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C not installing


    The following update "Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C" just doesn't want to install. The OS is always prompting me to restart every few hours with no success. Are there any logs or pre-steps i should be doing?

    When I first contacted you I just wanted to be able to install the update: "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C" on the system the way it was.

    The only problem I'm having with the external drive is with the update: "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C", which won't install, with the error message: "Windows cannot install on a usb flash drive using setup".

    I'll try the media creation tool.

    On my desktop computer, I am using an external HDD per USB as my main drive. The HDD was taken from a previous computer that died about a year ago. At first, I attached it just to be able to retrieve files, but it was automatically set up as a work-station.
    Which has worked out even better, and ALL UPDATES, etc., up until now have installed without issue.

    My current issue is with update: "Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C". It WILL NOT install, with the error message: "You can't install Windows on a USB Flashdrive."

    Obviously it is NOT a flash drive. Is there some sort of workaround, and/or what can I do???
