    Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C


    On my desktop computer, I am using an external HDD per USB as my main drive. The HDD was taken from a previous computer that died about a year ago. At first, I attached it just to be able to retrieve files, but it was automatically set up as a work-station. Which has worked out even better, and ALL UPDATES, etc., up until now have installed without issue.


    My current issue is with update: "Windows 10, version 1803 x64 2019-08C". It WILL NOT install, with the error message: "You can't install Windows on a USB Flashdrive."


    Obviously it is NOT a flash drive. Is there some sort of workaround, and/or what can I do???

    Windows 10 Update - version 1803x64 2019-08c unable to install.

    Windows 10 Update - version 1803x64 2019-08c won't install, reaches 85%, then says via Blue Screen "encountered a problem need to restart". Upon restart install goes back to zero and the same process commences but never finishes and the computer continually
    restarts.

    The stopcode is Bad Pool Header, does anyone know how to fix this?
