Windows 10: Windows 10, version 1809

Hello everyone. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 (version 1809) on my desktop PC yesterday. Not only everything seems OK, but the overall performance has improved, compared to the previous version. Should I leave everything as it is, or wait for the new .iso file to come out? Thanks in advance.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Features being removed or deprecated in Windows 10 version 1809


It's funny that Microsoft has not included disk cleanup in the list of "Features we’re no longer developing", in another blog they already announced that this feature will be "deprecated", although in this list this clarification is made:




PS, @Brink, just out of curiosity, why did you add the word "deprecated"? in the original text it doesn't appear.

 

Windows 10’s October 2018 Update (version 1809) Update Stuck at 42%

Windows 10 1809 is just a day old. My suggestion is to hold on till the first cumulative updates arrive.
