Windows 10: Windows 10 version 1903 install problems

Hi

I have Windows 10 version 1903 installed – it got installed back in March 2019 on the Windows Insider Slow Ring – The update was reported as a success, but a couple of months later it became apparent that all was not well, and the computer tried few times to install a later build of 1903 and every one failed. About 4 weeks ago I contacted MS support and they ran a utility to stop any further attempts to install 1903, which happened, but also stopped any other updates being installed. This week I have been in touch with MS support, and after trying a few options they decided a reinstall of Windows 10 was needed. I downloaded Windows 10 1903 and tried to install. This failed. MS support did a little more “digging” around my computer and found the BIOS was version 2205 dated 2015. The motherboard installed is an Asus H81M-plus and the latest BIOS version is 2205. MS are saying that this version is incompatible with W10 1903. (If so, why did it get installed in the first place!) Windows 10 Version 1809 appeared to run okay on the Asus motherboard, even with the old BIOS. Can I go back to that version and still get security updates? Or, unless Asus releases an updated BIOS, do I have to replace the motherboard to stay up to date?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Window 10, Version 1903 May Update

1. Why are all of the links that you listed not completed. On my computer currently it has Windows 10 Home Version 1803, installed 6/29/2018 with O.S. Build 17134.799. It has used space of 187 GB and 257 GB of free space.

I attempted to install Version 1903 Manually, through Settings/Windows Update, Windows 10 Update Assistant, and other ways without success. I have spent the better part of the past 3 days trying to get this accomplished on my laptop. It has worked on my
PC but not on the laptop.

Listed below are the different error messages that I get after the download stops each time at 90% and converts back to previous settings:

a. Windows 10, Version 1903 error message (0x80240034)

b. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x800703fb)

c. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0xC1900101 - 0x4000D)

d. Feature update to Windows 10, Version 1903, We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x80070652)

If there are ways to get this latest update installed on my laptop, please let me know what I have to do in detail, step by step.

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
