Windows 10: Windows 10 Version 1909 update to Version 2004 Black Screen issue

Last week updated Win 10 to Version 2004. PC hasn't worked issue free since then but got around it until today. Powered up PC this morning Had closed down normally the day before screen remained black, absolutely zero activity. Have tried spare working screen and other cables no change. Would love to back out to version1909 but can't get beyond the black screen - any ideas?

2004 Update Not Allowed

As Paul Black has indicated, there's some incompatibility, and MS is protecting you from the problems that would cause. You won't be able to find out exactly what that may be. Could be hardware, might be software.

Assuming you have 1903 or 1909, there's little that would be of particular benefit, so no need to rush in:
