Windows 10: Windows 10 Version 2004 Fails to Install

Hi

I have now tried to install this update but is fails with a BSOD.

Cannot restart as appears frozen / keyboard is dead

Need to use power button to turn off PC.

Need to wait at least 5 minutes before starting PC or else it goes into BSOD again.

If you wait then the PC goes through a recovery and is back to prior to install.


I have:

1-Run chkdsk with no disc errors

2-Updated my drivers inc video

3- Run Windows Memory Diagnostics - All good

4 - Run sfc - all good

5- Uninstalled Bitdefender

6- Run Disk Cleanup - System

7- Device Manager shows no issues.

8- Installed logged in as Administrator using Windows 10 Update Assistant


Last try:

Ran through install and restarted

Got to around 29% and tried a second restart but got BSOD above.

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
