Windows 10: Windows 10 - Voice Recorder auto closes

This is happening basically after a clean install.
When i open voice recorder it starts up and shows the app for like 1 sec then closes (just like an android forced close without a message)

Its my go to app to test my mic settings result.

Already did a reset of app to standard settings without any luck.

Also i removed package through power shell get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsSoundRecorder * | remove-appxpackage and reinstalled from the store but still the same problem

Any ideas or tips are appreciated.

Application (Voice Recorder) Opens then Closes??!

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

• Which version of Windows you are using? (To check, type: winver in start menu and hit enter.)
  
• Do you have any error message when the app closes?
  

Meanwhile, you can follow these steps:

Method 1:

Please follow the steps mentioned in the link.

If this doesn’t help, follow the method 2.

Method 2:

1. Tap on the Windows key on your keyboard, type: PowerShell in the search box.
   
2. Right click on the displayed result, run as administrator.
3. Copy and paste the following command:
4. get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsSoundRecorder * | remove-appxpackage
5. Restart the machine.
6. Go to store, search for Windows voice recorder app and click on
   Get or click on this
   link.
7. Once it is installed, click on launch and check if it works.

Voice Recorder Flags Disappeared

Hi,

I realize the problem you are facing with the voice recorder.

To assist you better, please answer the below:

• 
  Are you using windows built-in voice recorder or any other 3rd party voice recorder application?
  
• 
  If you are using Build in Windows recorder, how did you put the flag?
  

If you are using built-in Windows recorder, there is no option to put a flag on recorded voice. Provide us the screenshot of recording interface with Flag.

May I suggest you download "Cok Free MP3 Player". It is much more user friendly and quicker to use than the native voice recorder.
