Windows 10: Windows 10 Voice Recorder Crashing

When I launch Voice Recorder the application begins to open and ithen mmediately crashes. I followed the tips from prior, related posts (e.g. update all drivers, run PowerShell command to uninstall and re-download/install from Windows Store). No luck.


I checked the Event Log and here's the application error info:


Faulting application name: SoundRec.exe, version: 10.1808.1809.3001, time stamp: 0x5b8e128c
Faulting module name: Windows.UI.Xaml.dll, version: 10.0.17134.81, time stamp: 0x4f4899f8
Exception code: 0xc000027b


Same exception is thrown every time. Please advise of a fix.

Voice Recorder Flags Disappeared

Hi,

I realize the problem you are facing with the voice recorder.

To assist you better, please answer the below:

• 
  Are you using windows built-in voice recorder or any other 3rd party voice recorder application?
  
• 
  If you are using Build in Windows recorder, how did you put the flag?
  

If you are using built-in Windows recorder, there is no option to put a flag on recorded voice. Provide us the screenshot of recording interface with Flag.

In case if you are using any 3rd party recorder, then I suggest you to contact the developer of the application for further help.

Windows Voice Recorder Crash After Rename of a File or Editing a Recording

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

Windows App Troubleshooter

Reset The App

Uninstall/Reinstall the Windows Voice Recorder App

I am still experiencing the same deficit. When I attempt to rename a file or edit an audio track the voice recorder crashes. The audio files are very short (<1 Second). Would this affect the application's performance?

May I suggest you download "Cok Free MP3 Player". It is much more user friendly and quicker to use than the native voice recorder.
