    Windows 10 WiFi security risk

When my laptop is powered on, before I enter my password to login, there is a WiFi icon displayed on the login screen. Can I can connect to a router without logging into my computer?

Doesn't this present a security risk? If someone steals my laptop and logs into their network, can they have access to my laptop?

    :)

  2. WiFi Sense is a security risk

It is atrocious that WiFi sense is on by default. A horrible security risk.

    • At work I have access to WiFi networks others should not be able to access, WiFi Sense will give those in my contacts and FB access unless its turned off.
    • At home my neighbors are in my contacts and my Facebook. I don't want them to share the network I pay for but WiFi Sense will give them access. Who knows how much of my bandwidth they could use downloading movies or what sites they might access that would
be associated with my IP address.

I've turned mine off BUT Microsoft please change it so it is OFF by DEFAULT

Is windsows 7 a security risk?

There is 2 security risks. No one can stop security holes even more so with MS software as it would be more targeted although Linux has got to be going up on that list to now.

    1. Your comp being online
    2. The user

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
