Windows 10: Windows 10 will not go to sleep. "Event 45: The system could not sucessfully load the crash...

So, apparently this problem has been around since Windows 7 and none of the searching I've done has lead to any thread with a solid solution. So I guess I'll toss my hat into the ring. When I attempt to put my desktop computer into sleep mode, it simply puts the screen into power save mode and takes the system to the log-in screen as if I had locked the system. My searching took me to this page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/storage/crash-dump-filter-drivers but I'm not entirely sure what to do with the information, but I'm sure it's relevant.


Also, allow me to stress that this does not have to do with wake timers or power plans, so do not suggest this. My computer is NOT randomly waking up, it isn't going to sleep in the first place due to being unable to load a driver.

This error in the Event Logs just prior to a crash suggests a dump file is trying to be written:

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

yes, it was already off.

its waking up one hour after it sleeps for about 2 minutes, then sleeping again. How the eff can i track what it does in that time if nothing shows in powerCFG or the event log?
