Windows 10: Windows 10 Will not Wake Up

Discus and support Windows 10 Will not Wake Up in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; For some reason my Windows 10 PC keeps going into sleep mode and will not wake up when plugged in.     Windows 10 Will not Wake Up


    For some reason my Windows 10 PC keeps going into sleep mode and will not wake up when plugged in. I have completed the following steps:


    1. Configured power and sleep settings to turn off sleep mode when plugged in.

    2. Run CMD: powercfg -h off


    The issue only started yesterday and I have no idea what changed. If anyone is having the same issue, or knows a fix it will be great to hear from you.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

    I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type the command line below:
    Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

    3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

    If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.
