  1. Windows 10 won't reactivate after hardware change/reinstall

    Hello,

I recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu on my pc. I followed the instructions to activate Windows 10 after a hardware change, however when picking the device on my pc via the troubleshooter to activate, it only shows my desktop with the previous motherboard. However when I log into my Microsoft account on the web, I can see my desktop with the new motherboard listed on the website.

I have Windows 10 professional and this should be linked to my account, but anytime I try to activate via the troubleshooter it just responds back that its unable to activate and to try again later.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Tony

    :)

Macrium is used frequently in this forum. There are experts in using it to recover drives. It's unclear as to why you are struggling to use it. I had not used it and just tried it for the first time and it went smoothly. Maybe these images might help?
