I have the same problem on my Surface 3 and I use a lot of the Chrome shortcuts on the start menu. I found if you make the tile medium size, the Chrome icon shows instead of the one I assigned to the shortcut. The small tile is just blank. I rolled it back until it's hopefully fixed. I'm a little concerned that the won't do it as it's only effecting Chrome. Does it work if you pin an Edge shortcut? I should havw tried before I rolled it back.

Upgrated to 10586.3 with some minor glitches, but found help for them all (Thanks to Brink *Smile) except one.

After shutting down or hibernate, my monitor goes black allmost instantly, but the PC itself is running with very minor HDD activity for about 1 minute, then the HDD LED (what a name for a little lamp!!!) fully glow for about 10 seconds and after that goes another 10 seconds before it finally shut off.

I have read about others having long "shutdown" times after the upgrade, but I have not seen any solution. As I like to pull the plug when leaving my PC, it has become annoying to sit and wait 1½ - 2 minutes after shotdown.

    Ideas?

I second the above statement. I'm running W10 on a Dell Inspiron N7010.

Try Disk Cleanup, it worked for me after the upgrade reinstalled Windows.Old folder files, which in my case was the slow down culprit.
But before deleting that folder, consider that you won't be able to revert automatically to your previous OS version, if you migrated from W 7, for example.
Though if I'm correct, uninstalling Windows 10 and reinstalling W 7 etc with the previous version software and license key, is possible.

Please take my advice with a "pinch of salt" as I'm not an expert and there are probably other ways to speed up the shut down and reboot process.

See what others have to say.

I'll try Disk Cleanup and remove old.windows. No problem in going back as I take a full drive backup every week Windows 10: You've got questions, I've got answers :)
    Thanks for your advice.

It may be a discontinued product but 2016 just means it's version 22.5 as long for all their security products that came out between 2010-now. There is no such thing as Norton Security 2016 either as the actual product is called Norton Security or Norton Security with Backup 22.5, download the trial version and install and you'll see what I mean. Norton 360 and Norton Security Premium aka Norton Security with Backup all share similar features and codebase so it's actually similar as confirmed by a Symantec employee. The year number thing is no longer used as what's important is the version number. It's almost like asking for a screenshot of a product that says Norton Security 2016 as it doesn't exist.

Norton Security vs. Old Norton Products - Norton Security vs Norton 360 vs Norton AntiVirus vs Norton Internet Security

The pre-2014 Norton products just might not get future software updates after 22.5.4.24.

The reason I asked about what version the person had installed that Windows 10586 uninstalled was because if you had anything less than 22.5, Windows will uninstall it as it's not Windows 10 compatible. Assuming you reinstall it, you might have a problem with your product key as it will treat the same computer as have already used that key already.

Norton Product Update 22.5.2.15 for Windows 10 Compatibility | Norton Community

Windows 10 Threshold 2 Removes Some Desktop Programs During Install - Softpedia

All the above are with manual uninstalls, reinstalls and new installs of Norton 360 Premier, Norton Security Premium 2016 aka Norton Security with Backup 22.5 on Windows 10 10240 RTM over the past two days. Norton 2016 has the same issue with the auto-protect not being able to be disabled, it really depends more on your luck as it doesn't show up right away and whatever it is, they have to fix it as you don't see any other AV have the same issue yet.
