They are all actually last made in September 2015 as all of the current and the pre-Norton Security 2015 products share similar codebase except the 2014 and later products have more features. NIS, N360 might not get future upgrades to the product itself in the future so 22.5.4.24 could be the end.

Well of course I disagree as Norton HAS to keep giving me updates until my subscription expires. OR give me a new product update with same amount of time left. Either way Norton will support their products. Right now, that's another 323 days on 2 machines.

Your subscription is for the Anti-Virus database updates, not the product update. My Windows XP machine which still runs Norton SystemWorks 2006 Premier still is getting AV updates as I have a 15 year license on that one. Only reason that machine is still a Windows XP machine is because WinFax Pro 10.x doesn't work with anything newer than Windows XP or basically any 64 bit OS, FaxTalks while a replacement doesn't work for my faxes as I write a lot of my stuff in the WinFax coverpage files which FaxTalk doesn't support. v21 Norton products looked different but all v22 Norton products looks identical except for the name. There are some people who rather run Symantec Antivirus versus Norton. Products ever since N360 have been low in resource usage while products before that used to be resource hogs that slow down systems. N360 is more of a security product compared to SystemWorks as Norton Utilities is no longer included so I had to get that separately. So basically, your virus definitions will get updated to the date your subscription expires but your anti-virus engine will not.

Norton has updated the main product already 2 times this year, when I receive updates they are MORE than just anti-virus updates. But I also run Malwarebytes Pro right along side Norton 360. Norton also protects system from questionable web sites, and programs that you might try to install with warnings, or Norton will just Quarantine the file/program The version I use is Fully supported, and receives updates for MORE than just virus definitions.

Those updates are more to make it Windows 10 compatible as Norton is known to kill off products, you're paying for the subscription to the virus protection updates which can be cheaper buying the new product as the 2016 products are actually cheaper than the 2015 products. Live Update tells you everything you receive, what I'm trying to say is it's a discontinued product, the new products might get v23 updates but N360 might not. No different than Windows 10 is out, the older Windows products will still get updates until they decide not to support it anymore so it's two different things. One is the program and the other is the subscription. Norton AntiVirus or Norton Security products have nothing to even do with Peter Norton as when Symantec bought Peter Norton Computing, they only made Norton Utilities which was where SystemWorks came from as NSW = NU + Symantec's AntiVirus product NAV. After Symantec took over, they got rid of Calibrate and Diskedit in NU, PCTools Deluxe from Central Point was later bought by Symantec. Both NU and PC Tools Deluxe were licensed by Microsoft in MS-DOS for the defrag and other tools. Regardless what it's called, they are all just Norton Anti-Virus plus things like a software firewall. Then there was Quarterdeck which made things like CleanSweep, Partition Magic that Symantec later bought.

    End of Availability for NAV (PC/Mac), NIS (PC/Mac), N360 (Standard/Premier) N360 Multi-Device(PC/Mac/Mobile) | Norton Community

Well, Nortons firewall works very well, it scans for malicious programs actively, protection for two different browsers, plus does AV scans. Does do backups, but I don't use that. I use it mainly for the firewall and browser protection. When my subscription runs out, I'll get whatever version is similar. Also get 24/7 support for problems. I saw the NEW prices, I paid just about the same price for this version. was not more expensive at all.

  12. That's too bad. My first Stereo system was from Radio Shack. Four channel quad sound @ 300 watts per channel! Where do I find Radio Shack now, in the basement of the Sprint store? Haven't been to one in 3 years. Couldn't beat their Memorex DVD sales. 50 pack for $9.99 every so often.
