Windows 10: Windows 10

How can I stop Windows 10 from doing updates? I use this laptop for work that requires it to be available for use at any time. It is imperative. How can I stop it from doing things that I do not ask it to do? I have been using windows since 1992 with 3.1. I do not want my computer to do things unless I ask it to. If my work requires an update immediately, I do not have time for some kind of update. My laptop doesn't have a CD drive so I can't install my old windows 7. Why can't you just let my computer alone?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
