Windows 10's latest update killed my desktop.

I attempted to log in using my microsoft account and figured I could just find a way to disable it once I was logged in. My password was apparently incorrect. I went to reset my password on my phone and got the standard "New password can't be old password" message. So I made a new password. I thought this would be the end of it. I then tried signing in again and still got the same error saying my password was incorrect. I tried typing in the email address of my microsoft account and the passwor

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

Defer feature updates in Windows 10

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

I understand the inconvenience that you are unable to change the screen resolution, we will help you with this issue.

I suggest you to update the Display Adapter Drivers

Step 1: Update the Display Adapter driver.

    • Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapter.
    • Right on the Display Adapter and click on
      Update driver software.

Refer to: How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10

How to: Install and Update Hardware Drivers in Windows 10

Step 2: Please follow the below steps to change the resolution of the screen and check:

    • Type Change screen resolution in the
      Search box from the desktop.

    • Under Resolution search for the
      Recommended
      resolution and click on Apply.

    • A windows pops up saying "Keep these display settings", then select
      Keep changes.
I would like to inform that, there will be a recommended resolution for all the computers, and if you select more than the recommended resolution the screen would not support for that.

Hope it helps. Kindly update the status of the issue, we will be happy to help you.

Windows 10's latest update killed my desktop.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
