    Windows 11 activation on new build


    Hoping for some help on this, i'm also hoping I didn't screw myself. I was running windows 10 on my pc, the cpu was too old to run windows 11. I bought a new setup and put it together, before I dismantled my old machine which I needed the power supply out of I downloaded a windows 11 boot onto a usb stick.Booted up my new machine and logged into my Microsoft account and everything, but it won't activate. I did the trouble shooter, I did the "changed hardware" option and it says my digital key can't be used. Should I have just installed windows 10 first and then upgraded on my new machine? I'
