    Windows 11 auto updates killing my system, How do I turn them off


    Windows 11 keeps auto updating and forcing them on me. They kill my VMware workstation every time and now for the 3rd time have killed my PC,I have no task bar, chrome does not work. explorer has errors in eventvwr. I have tried SFC and DISM ive restored the to a previous date but no real luck . Im done with this **** setup M$ pushes at me. Before I move back to windows 10 is there a way I can stop this auto patching?

    Auto rotate and keyboard killed

    Hello, M'Soft my name is Irisdiel and I am an independent advisor. Today I will be helping you with your issue. I believe that the auto rotation lock feature is turned on by default in Windows 10. I will be inserting some steps on how to turn it off.

    . Place the tablet into Pad/Tablet mode

    . Click the Start menu and select Settings

    . Click System

    . Click Display

    . Scroll down and toggle Lock rotation of this display to off

    Windows 10 Anniversary Update Issues

    Problems with W10 Anniv auto update:

    Mom's: (x58 Xeon 5677) Windows Defender was not turned back on automatically (it was "on" in the 1511 edition) and she had a Trojan. Full system scan to eradicate.
    Her Epson printer was knocked off, had to uninstall by Device Manager pull USB cable and reconnect cable. W10 did the rest.

    Step-mom's: (HP pre built) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Her USB Seagate Expansion Drive 2Tb was offline so all backup routines were halted. Had to rerun backup plan. Had her do a full virus scan.

    Step-dad's: (Dell Optiplex tweaked upgrades) Windows Defender not turned back on by default. Full Scan.

    Microsoft Auto-Updates Components of Windows Without User Permission

    The nine files that are updated all have to do with the Auto-Updater itself.
    The article lists them all. No big deal.

    I run auto-update anyway, so BRING ON THE NEW UPDATES !!!
    I have yet to experience any problems from MS updates on my XP network.
