Windows 10: Windows 11 Drag and Drop

Previously in Windows 10, you would be able to drag any app on the Start Menu to your desktop to make a shortcut. I've found that in Windows 11 you are not able to do this. I know there's shortcut paths to folders and web-downloaded apps for .exe's, but for something like a Windows App such as Minecraft Bedrock Edition, when I right click the app in the search or apps menu, "Open in File Location" does not appear, which is what I usually use to make shortcuts. Any ideas how I can get apps like these to my desktop? also from doing research I believe there is no .exe application in the file pat

Hi Charles,

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.
