    Windows 11 forced Vsync

I upgraded to windows 11 and now all my games are capped at 165 my monitor's refresh rate when this wasn't the case before even if the game has vsync disabled. Also, I already have vsync turned off in my nvidia control panel so that isn't the issue either. Is there a windows 11 setting for this?

    :)

  2. Forced Fullscreen Vsync

Still having this issue with no fix in sight. Windows 10 is forcing vsync on everything. I'm using a laptop with Optimus (integrated and discrete gpu) and even in "exclusive full screen" with vsync forced off in both settings and Nvidia control windows
10 is still forcing vsync on. It can easily be seen if you get the stutters and frame drops during intense moments. With vsync off we should get a screen tear instead of a stutter or a frame drop but instead frames are dropping and stuttering occurs which
is worse in my opinion. Hopefully there is a way to bypass the windows 10 gui control at least when we select full screen mode .. Disappointing, but I have faith Microsoft will still be open to user feedback and user control since everyone is different
and has their own preferences. I never thought I would miss screen tearing, but I will take an occasional tear during intense moments when my gpu can't keep up over a stutter or fps drop any day!

  3. Forced Fullscreen Vsync

I suggest using in-game vsync when available. some games have it enabled by default and do not even offer an option.

    Forced Fullscreen Vsync

I've read those comment threads too, although in my case the opposite behavior holds true: Windowed=Vsync off; Fullscreen=Vsync on, regardless of driver or game settings.
