Windows 10: Windows 11 indicates a full repair needed for my FAT32 partition

I am running windows 11 24H2 I was aware that this update having bugs. In my FAT32 partition Windows 11 indicates a full repair needed is this a bug ? Windows 11 is running normally and disk management indicates partition is healthy. I am not having any errors Copilot indicated a solution which I tried but unfortunately the bcdboot command failed to recreate the boot file in the partition. I had to restore system image to get everything working again. I am hoping that the full repair needed is a false message and "don't fix it if it is working" applies.

Convert partition from Fat32 to Ntfs

Hi everybody.
I converted my root partition from Fat32 to Ntfs using Partitionmagic. I did some research prior to the conversion and was assured there would not be any issues. Well,I was wrong. I lost activation to Quickbooks and was able to repair without that much of a problem. I also had to re-activate my WinXp. Is this normal? Does windows see the h/d as a new h/d after converting to ntfs on the root partition?

FAT32 formatting

If you can plug the drive into a XP system you can partition and format to FAT32 through Drive Configuration. Heres the steps

1. Click Start and go to your control panel

2. Go into Administrative Tools and then open up Computer Management

3. Now click on Disk Management that is located under Storage.

On the right you should see your drive that you want to format to FAT32. Just right click the drive, select format, and switch partition to Fat32. You may need to delete the volume if it will not let you change to Fat32 and then repartition. I have used this many times.

 

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that
