Windows 10: Windows 11 is extremely laggy after installed with bypass my old laptop does not support...

Laptop gets extremely laggy randomly

Hi,

My laptop which is running windows 10 will randomly get extremely laggy and will only go away after about 30 seconds of waiting or by unplugging and replugging in the power cord. This tends to happen when I'm gaming, but has happened with all kinds of apps. When I'm gaming it happens very often, every 10 minutes or so. I open task manager to see if anything is being used at 100% but the only thing that seems wrong is the application I'm currently using will spike to high power usage, the ram, gpu, cpu, and disk are all fine. I have a high end gaming laptop so it should have 0 issues running the games I do. Additionally, I make sure the power plan is always set to high performance.

Any suggestions for how to fix this issue?

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Are all drivers and BIOS up to date?

Outdated drivers can cause the problem you are reporting.

From what you described, it could also be a hardware issue. Usually related to HD.

Download and install HD Tune. Do a "Benchmark" and "Error Scan" test. You don't need to download the PRO version. The free version will allow you to run the test.

Send a screenshot of the results and the status at the "Health" tab. Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

You said you installed Windows 11 on this computer. I see that this PC has an Intel Core i5 7th Gen 7200U.

Keep in mind that this processor is not on the list of supported processors for Windows 11.
