Windows 10: Windows 11 Mouse fixes 2023

I will give you everything that works to troubleshoot a mouse. Even if you have tried a step please do it over in sequence. I will be standing by to help as needed. Try all other ports on the PC, often the front and back will have different USB controllers When did it last work correctly? What has changed since then? Is there a System Restore point to roll back to before then? Try the mouse in another PC to isolate

Reset Failure Windows 10/11 (2023)

Try the link on the Sign in page for Sign In Options to try another method.

Try resetting the password: Reset Pass10 Reset Pass 11

If none of the other steps work and Safe Mode is not working then you may need to follow this guide to get into WinRE Repair Mode or use bootable media which use different drivers so the mouse and keyboard will usually work in either one:

Then do System Restore, Uninstall Updates, all Command Prompt repairs including to try to enter Safe Mode from there which will often work, to update, uninstall (to reinstall) the Keyboard and Mouse drivers in Device Manager. If nothing else works it shows how to do a Reset or Clean Install, even how to rescue your files first, so one step will always work.
