Windows 10: Windows 11 MS Paint - versions with and without layer function

Dear allA new MS Paint came wtih Windows 11.In a newer version of Windows 11 MS Paint version 2308 / not the basic version, the layer function was introduced.An image file created with an early version before version 2308 of Windows 11 MS Paint, that does not have the layer function - filename AAn image file created with the lastest version of Windows 11 MS Paint, that has the layer function - filename BWhen comparing the bits of the two files, for example using fcb / b, are the two files then identical?I have updated my MS Paint to the version with layer function, so I can't check it out.

Disable Layers or get old MS Paint back?

Hello,

Is there a way to turn off/disable layers in MS paint? Not hide, not create new layers, actually disable,

If not where can I download a safe version of old MS paint? If not possible can I move old MS paint from a win10 machine, replace new paint, or will windows overwrite/replace old MS paint next update?

Not to sound rude but most of the responses I see on MS forums are "format/re-install windows", "what are you trying to do?", "Why are you trying to do (insert question here)", "to view layers in paint...", "to hide layers in paint...", etc.

If you don't know the answer please don't respond.

Paint Layers

Thank you Patch for your reply.
I've spent a lot of time getting familiar with the Windows 11 version of Paint but I'm at a loss when it comes to Layers.
I'm not alone with this and can't for the life of me think why Paint intruduced Layers.
Paint Shop Pro has them but I can convert those to animations.
