Windows 10: Windows 11 not Recognizing SD Card

I have a problem where my device isn't recognizing my SD Card. The drivers are updated and the SD Card does work and read normally on other devices. It is not recognizing the SD card at all in the disk drives. This is the same problem for all my SD Cards. How do I troubleshoot this?

Thanks for that suggestion. Diskpart only sees one disk, the SSD. When I first received the SD card on Monday, it was working, but I did have some initial issues getting the system to recognize the card. I used the SD card to store an image of the system's SSD. - - - Updated - - -

Apparently, you are correct. I gave the slot a couple of shots of electronics compressed gas duster, and the system started to recognize the SD card. So, I cleaned the slot with 99% pure, anhydrous isopropyl alcohol followed by compressed gas and my Meco Eleverde Compressed Air Duster. The blow job seems to have resolved the issue.

You posted that you would try the suggested steps by Tryx3. May we have an update if the suggested steps have resolved the issue about your SD card being recognized as a fixed drive in Windows 10?

 

Win10 doesn't recognize SD-card removal

Could you provide a little more detail as to how you know that Windows is not recognizing the removal of the SD card? What are you seeing specifically that leads you to this conclusion?

Also, could you please try this:

Start with SD card inserted.
Open a command prompt and run the command "diskpart". Wait for the "DISKPART>" prompt.
Run the command "list disk".
All disks (including the SD card) should be listed. It should be obvious which the SD card is by its size.
Remove the SD card.
Run "list disk" again.
Does the SD card still show up?
Run "exit" to exit from diskpart.
Close the command prompt.
