Windows 10: Windows 11 printing

I am still having problems printing from my new laptop that uses Windows 11. Things are such a mess after following 3 different suggested solutions that I cannot even access my printer.Windows 11 is a major step back in usability from Windows 10 and this print problem may force me to buy a MacBook Pro for $2500. Thanks a lot.

Printing web pages in Windows 10

• Are you able to print via Internet Explorer 11?
• What kind of contents and extensions do you want to print?

I suggest you to perform the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below to print documents in the Windows 10 Edge browser and check if it helps:

• 
  Once the document is open in Edge, press
  Ctrl+P or More actions button at the top last end of the browser.
  
• 
  Click Print as PDF button.
  
• 
  Check if the document prints as expected.
  

If the above steps did not work, try the next methods.

Method 2: Set your printer as default.

• 
  Press Windows key and type
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on view by and select large icons.
  
• 
  Open Devices and printers.
  
• 
  Right click on your printer and select set a default printer.

Print to PDF missing in Printer List

Hi William,

We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

• Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
• Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
• On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
  OK to save changes.
• Restart your PC.
• Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.

Problems with double-sided printing of odf files on Windows 11

1. Confirm Printer Support

• Double-check that your HP Deskjet GT5820 supports automatic duplex printing. If it only supports manual duplex printing, you'll need to manually reinsert the pages to print on the second side.
  

2. Update Printer Driver

• It seems you've already updated the printer driver, but it's worth ensuring you've installed the correct and most recent driver from the HP website. Sometimes, using the generic drivers that come with Windows 11 can limit functionality.
  
  • Go to the HP support website, search for your printer model, and download the latest driver available for Windows 11.
    

3. Check PDF Reader Software

• The issue might lie with the PDF reader software you're using. Some PDF readers might not support the duplex printing feature.
  
  • Try a different PDF reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a popular choice that generally supports double-sided printing.
