Windows 10: Windows 11 pro locked to school/work account after performing system reset on a Lenovo...

HII recently bought a Lenovo m720s SFF with Windows 11 pro installed on it from Ebay. I did a factory reset just to make sure no iffy software was on it. After this reset when the computer boots up it asks me for a work or school sign in, which of course I don't have, it also boots with a Company logo coming up. I have been in touch with the seller who assures me this problem is being dealt with. Since then I have done some reading etc and I don't see that they can fix this issue in any way without having the computer sent back to them. My concern is that they are trying to run the 30 day refu

In Windows 11 power-saving mode, clicking the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen will cause a system crash.

Problem description: As the title suggests.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Enter Windows 11 power-saving mode.
   
2. Click the Windows Focus prompt on the lock screen.
   

Expected result: The login screen should appear and after logging in, the browser should automatically open to view content.

Actual result: The system crashes.

Device information:

• Windows 11 version: 22H2 (22621.1413)
  
• Device: Lenovo Xiaoxin 14 Pro 2021
  
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
  

Other information:

• When plugged in, the system automatically turns off power-saving mode and cannot be turned on manually. The function works normally.
  
• When unplugged, turn off power-saving mode and the function works normally.
  
• When unplugged, turn on power-saving mode and the system crashes.
  

 

Join Teams for work or school meeting with personal Microsoft account

When using your personal Teams account to join a meeting that originated from a Work or School Teams account, you previously had to join as a guest, often causing your meeting to open in a web browser with limited functionality. Now you can join as your signed-in personal Microsoft account from within the Teams app on Windows 11, providing a better meeting experience for all parties. In the first phase of rolling out this new functionality, you will get the new experience when joining a Teams for work or school meeting from within Teams free by tapping a Teams for work or school meeting link in a chat or community within Teams free. Your signed-in personal Microsoft account will be used when you join the meeting.

If you dont have the Teams meeting in your Teams free calendar, a nice little trick is to forward the meeting invite to the email you use to sign in to Teams free. Then you will have the meeting neatly in your Teams calendar, readily available for you to join the meeting when its time. How to join Teams Insider? Its easy to join Teams Insider for earlier access to new features and improvements:

1. Go to app settings in Teams free
2. Navigate to Teams Insider program section (you can get there directly with this link)
3. Tap Join button to join Teams Insider
4. Restart the Teams app and you have the latest features and improvements

School Login locking down Personal PC

Might I suggest you create a new user account for school work.

You could also ask support if you use that account will it lock entire machine or just that user?
