Windows 10: Windows 11 reset stuck

I have reset windows 11, choosing not to keep anything, clean the disk, and reinstall from the cloud. I know this takes a while but it has been around 3 hours and I am still at the screen "HP Resetting this PC", it has taken 2 hrs to go from 1% to 2%. Can I safely interrupt this process to restart it? What do I do?Wait it out? At 1% per hour I'm looking at a 4-5 day long reset, doesn't seem quite right.Follow up, will I be able to go back to windows 10 with this reset? I'm really not loving 11

We also suggest that you reset Internet Explorer 11 through these steps:

• Click Reset.

Stuck at 64% after reset.

We want to know more information regarding this issue so that we can find out what causes your update to get stuck at 64%. Please provide us the following information:

• Even after resetting, does it still get stuck at 64%?
• What other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
• How are you upgrading your operating system?

Windows Mail reset

I could delete the accounts by going into

• Apps & Features,
  
• selecting Mail & Calendar
  
• 3 dots button
  
• Advanced options
  
• Repair
  
• Reset
  

then I restarted my computer and the corrupted account was gone. Without the restart it seems to have no effect. I think "Repair" step was probably not necessary.

I still can't use Mail and ActiveSync with the same stuck "Are you trying to add..." window. I did the same steps in Windows 10 with the same exchange address and it works file - the stuck window is supposed to change local settings to comply with policy set on Exchange but it seems like Windows 11 blocks it.
